David Bowie – Space Oddity
Very few song lyrics are as iconic as “Ground Control to Major Tom.” As one of David Bowie’s – and the 60s – most recognisable songs, Space Oddity is also one of our all-time favourite space-age videos.
Brand New Heavies – You are the Universe
If there was one video that captured the spirit of Luna2 – the nostalgia, futurism, and fun – it’s this one!
Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 (Platos Atlantis Spécial Edition)
It was one of his boldest shows to date, and according to Vogue, he didn’t disappoint. One of Luna2’s favourite designers, the late great Alexander McQueen, pushed the boundaries of design, fashion and beauty, as he always did, for his Spring/Summer 2010 collection, and presented a collection that was futuristic, fantastical and space-age.
The Police – Walking on the Moon
A great song, Sting, space ships, and retro fashion… could this video be any cooler? But while the song was a UK chart topper for many weeks, did you know that Sting claimed to write it while he was drunk?
I was drunk in a hotel room in Munich, slumped on the bed with the whirling pit when this riff came into my head. I got up and started walking round the room, singing ‘Walking round the room, ya, ya, walking round the room’. That was all. In the cool light of morning I remembered what had happened and I wrote the riff down. But ‘Walking Round the Room’ was a stupid title so I thought of something even more stupid which was ‘Walking on the Moon’.
— Sting, L’Historia Bandido, 1981
